SLIDER: Start Here
Thanks for picking up a SLIDER. Everything you need to get playing is on this page.
Quick start
- Plug the included USB-C cable into the SLIDER and into your console or PC.
- Check the switch on the bottom of the controller. It selects between the built-in GP2040 board (installed by default) and the Brook Mini board (if you added the upgrade).
- Start playing. The SLIDER works on Nintendo Switch 1 & 2 out of the box.
Playing on PS5
There are three ways to add PS5 support:
- Passthrough dongle: plug a compatible dongle into the SLIDER's second USB port.
- Brook Wingman P5
- Brook Gen5X upgrade: a Brook board installed inside the SLIDER for native PS5 support with no dongle. Flip the bottom switch to use it.
Swapping layouts and artwork
The SLIDER is built from four parts: a bottom panel, an outer shell, a middle layout, and a removable acrylic top.
- The middle stack (acrylic top plus layout) is held by six small screws located under the art layer.
- Remove the screws, lift the stack out, and drop in a new layout or artwork. No soldering or rewiring.
Specs
- Switches: Kailh Choc V1 "Amber"
- Size: about 8 x 12.5 x 0.5 in (leverless layouts; stick layouts are taller)
- USB: stainless steel, industrial-grade USB-C port on its own swappable PCB, covered by a lifetime warranty
