Plug in your Snack Box MICRO or SWORL and press every button. Each one lights up on the drawing, the direction box shows exactly what your controller sends, and the checklist turns green as you go. Runs in your browser, nothing to install.

Reading the results
Direction output
Directions show in numpad notation, the way fighting game players write inputs: 6 is forward, 2 is down, 3 is down-forward, 5 is neutral. Practice the motions in the Move Lab.
SOCD
Leverless controllers decide what to send when two opposite directions are held. The MICRO and SWORL have four modes: Up priority (Classic), Capcom/Neutral (the shipping mode: Left + Right = Neutral, Up + Down = Neutral), Last priority (2iP, the newest press wins) and None (both directions are sent). Set the mode by holding a direction while you plug in: Up = Capcom/Neutral, Left = Up priority, Down = Last priority, Right = None. The start guide diagrams show the same.
Thumb domes (SWORL)
SWORL's Hall effect thumb domes report as analog sticks. The blue dot should rest in the center and reach the edge in every direction. More on SWORL.
Updates per second
How often your browser receives new input. Browsers check controllers once per screen refresh, so this number tops out near your monitor's refresh rate. It is not your controller's polling rate.
Something not working?
Nothing shows up when I plug in
Press a button first; browsers hide controllers until you do. Then connect in PC mode, try a different USB-C cable (some are charge-only) and a different port, and close Steam, which can take over controllers.
One button never lights up
If your switches are hot-swappable, pull the switch and seat it again, then retest. Still dead? Check the MICRO firmware update page and open a ticket on our Discord.
Console modes don't show in the tester
Expected. Console modes are made for the console and many browsers won't read them. Test here in PC mode; if every button passes, the hardware is fine.
I want to remap buttons or change LEDs
Use the web JunkFood configurator for M2 MICRO and SWORL. Gen 3 MICROs use the card in the box, also shown on the firmware page.
Should I update my firmware?
Only if support asks you to. Most connection problems are cables and ports, not firmware. Never roll back to an older version. Full steps are on the firmware page.
