SUPERJUMP Reviews the SWORL Multiconsole: An Arcade for Your Office

JFA Staff

SUPERJUMP’s Jared McCarty reviewed the SWORL Multiconsole in January 2026 and tried it on four very different games to see how far an arcade-style controller could stretch.

“I give my full recommendation to the Junkfood Sworl.”

— Jared McCarty, SUPERJUMP

What SUPERJUMP said about the hardware

  • Unboxing. The review praises the packaging and the hard shell carrying case that comes in the box.
  • Build and size. Sturdy without being heavy, and the reviewer felt the face was neither cramped nor oversized.
  • Thumb domes. He describes the analog domes as smooth, grippy and placed where your thumbs already rest, and sees them as the fix for the old arcade joystick problem in modern games.
  • Button feel. The buttons reminded him of a mechanical gaming keyboard.

The games he tested

  • Street Fighter 6. The domes made the open-world World Tour mode far easier to play on an arcade-style controller.
  • TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge. His favorite game on the SWORL, played on PS5. We have a layout built for it: VS Arc.
  • 30XX. Took some time to settle on bindings, then showed off the ergonomics better than anything else he tried.
  • Left 4 Dead 2. The hardest adjustment of the four. He puts that down to 15 years of muscle memory and says the controller did what he asked. For shooters, try our Bumper Jumper FPS layout.

A conversation piece

The SWORL stayed on his desk for the whole review period, and visitors with little interest in games kept asking to try it.
