Doom: The Dark Ages has extremely generous input options, even on console. KingHippo42 used them to build a SWORL setup that feels great.

How it plays

Sprinting, jumping and quick swaps to the right weapon are critical in The Dark Ages. This setup lets your right index finger shoot and swap weapons while your left hand handles blocking, melee and Shield Throw. Even with slow reactions, a quick tap of shield to parry glowing projectiles is a huge help.

Setup

Keep the SWORL on its default profile and use the in-game bindings in the screenshot. Because the game allows so much remapping, it's easy to fine-tune from there.

How to import a SWORL layout

1. Keep your SWORL on its default profile, or recreate the diagram above in the SWORL configurator.
2. Apply any in-game button bindings shown in the screenshots.
3. Save your finished profile and share it back with the community.
