JFA Staff
Dexerto scored the Snack Box MICRO a perfect 5/5. Tech writer Sayem Ahmed used it for several weeks of Street Fighter 6 before publishing his verdict.

What Dexerto found
- It is smaller than photos suggest. The review says pictures do not prepare you for how compact the MICRO is, and that the size never cost comfort, even over long sessions.
- Inputs got cleaner. After a few weeks adjusting from a full-size arcade stick, the reviewer reported better play, fewer stray inputs and no latency he could notice.
- It is tournament ready. Dexerto highlighted on-the-fly SOCD switching, so you can match a tournament ruleset without waiting on a firmware update.
- Custom art takes minutes. They had artwork printed and installed it by removing a few screws on the back.
- It replaced the big stick. By the end of testing, the MICRO had a permanent spot on the reviewer’s desk.

What they would change
Dexerto’s one complaint was that the box did not include printed instructions. They also noted that players who want a quieter controller can add silencing pads, and that a heavier back plate is available.
What has changed since the review
Dexerto tested the 2023 MICRO with Kailh Red switches. The current MICRO ships with our Amber switches and is still hot-swappable.
