How to do the Electric Wind God Fist on a leverless controller
Forward, release to neutral, down, then down-forward and 2 on the same frame.
- Press Forward.
- Let go of every direction (neutral).
- Press Down.
- Press Down + Forward with Triangle (2).
Watch it slowed down, then press Try it and do it yourself with a controller or your keyboard (A, S, D and Space, or the arrow keys). Timing is not frame-accurate. The animation shows the order of presses; check exact timing in your game's training mode. The animation assumes the Capcom/Neutral SOCD mode (Left + Right = Neutral, Up + Down = Neutral), which is how the MICRO and SWORL ship. Game and character names belong to their owners.
Pro notes: Electric Wind God Fist
Notation f, n, d, d/f+2. Directions are written for a character facing right.
Keys you press vs what the game reads
Top row: the buttons you hold. Bottom row: the direction the game receives. No opposing directions are held together in this input, so every SOCD mode reads it the same way; diagonals are two keys read as one direction.
Frame and timing notes
- Wavu lists the Electric as f,n,d,df#2: the # means Down-Forward and 2 on the same frame. Miss it and you get the plain Wind God Fist (f,n,d,df+2): 20 damage and -10 on block instead of 23 damage and +5 on block (Kazuya, Tekken 8).
- Hit Box's methods: with Down already held, press Forward and 2 together as one key; or press Down + Forward + 2 as one three-key chord. Mistiming gives a Wind God Fist or another move.
- Listed startup i11~12, actual startup i14 (i13 from Mist Step). During Heat a Wind God Fist becomes Electric automatically and spends 60F of Heat time.
Leverless tips for the Electric Wind God Fist
The finger map used here: ring finger on Back, middle finger on Down, index finger on Forward, right thumb on Up.
- For the true Electric, Down-Forward and 2 have to land on the same frame. Press your index finger and your right-hand 2 together as if they were one key.
- The neutral step matters. Lift every finger before you press Down. On leverless that is a clean lift, which is easier than centring a stick.
- Learn the crouch dash in this lab first, then add 2 at the end.
